 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress, comedian, activist) is a comedian. She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her career as an actor as a young person soon after her move to the United States. From 2013 to 2016, she worked as the AT&T salesperson Lily Adams, and since 2020, she has been the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams. She gained fame for her role in television commercials. Apart from commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub, who was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, has been voiced that role since. Vayntrub is was a Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. At two years of age She and her parents immigrated to the U.S. as refugees to get away from antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. Because of her family's financial problems, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. Following her sophomore year, she dropped out and got a GED. She continued however to earn a Bachelor of Arts Communication degree from the University of California San Diego. Vayntrub was a student of improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
